The ReChords: In times of heavy dark lyrics and deep rooted meanings hidden in a lot of music today it’s kind of refreshing to enjoy music at a more simple level. Oh don’t think it’s all cute & cuddly tunes about sweet love and riding the range, you will here some upbeat & catchy melodies alright, but mixed with good old stories of hard drinking, hard living and at times…. obscure tales to be told. The ReChords hark back to earlier times when men were men, stories were tall but their pants were taller. Hillbilly, Bluegrass, early Rhythm & Blues from the 40’s through to the 60’s are all heavily influenced and referenced with hints of DooWop, Garage and Rock’n’Roll infused throughout. The power of this music and the history behind it brought together three musicians who felt the same passion and enthusiasm. But it went beyond the music, it became more than that…..the clothes, the attitude and possibly the romanticism have helped create the bands persona.
